Comprehensive Community Support Services ‍ ‍

Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) is a recovery‑focused behavioral health program designed to help individuals build the skills they need to live more independently at home, at school, at work, and in the community.

CCSS is strengths‑based, culturally responsive, and centered on each person’s goals.

Clients work directly with a Community Support Worker (CSW) who provides hands‑on support, coaching, and guidance across five core life areas.

What is CCSS?

Core Areas

Independent Living: The ability to manage daily tasks and routines needed for safe, stable, and independent functioning at home and in the community.

Learning (Education): The capacity to participate in educational activities, acquire new knowledge, and use learning strategies effectively.

Working: The ability to obtain, maintain, and succeed in employment or vocational activities.

Socializing: The ability to build and maintain healthy relationships and interact appropriately with others.

Recreation: The ability to engage in meaningful leisure activities that support wellness, enjoyment, and community participation.

Our CCSS team provides practical, real‑world support to help clients reach their goals through:

How to Qualify

CCSS is available to individuals whose mental health symptoms impact on their daily functioning.

Eligibility generally includes:

  • Adults experiencing mental health challenges

  • Individuals with severe mental illness (SMI) or co‑occurring substance use

  • People who need structured support beyond traditional therapy

To enroll, clients typically need:

  1. A behavioral health assessment completed by a licensed clinician

  2. A referral confirming CCSS is medically necessary

  3. CCSS is a Medicaid‑funded service, therefore clients must have Medicaid to receive CCSS.
